Add More Pages

Create a new page by clicking on the New Page icon.  Type a short title on the page.  Make sure all typing is done below the dotted line that separates the shared border from the individual page's content.

Save the page by clicking on File on the menu bar and selecting Save As.  Make sure the new file name is short and does not contain spaces.  Click OK.

Go to the Navigation View by clicking on View on the menu bar and selecting Navigation.  Click on the icon for the page you just created and hold down the mouse key as you drag it over to the right windowpane.  Position the icon where it makes sense for the site's layout.  Release the mouse key.  (Right click on the new rectangle and choose Rename if the page's name is too long for a button label.)

To go back to page view, double click on the new page's icon in the Folder View section.  Voila!  Your page banner and appropriate links are already in place!  This method is the best for quickly creating a good looking website.

Now that you've had some practice, go back to the drawing board and plan out your site and its contents.  Then use this tutorial as a guide for creating your classroom site on your own subweb.  Substitute appropriate file names, for example, homework.htm instead of page_1.htm.

See Themes for information on troubleshooting and places to get free themes to add to your site.

Have fun!
